 Planning to build?
NatureHouse can build a house from clients designs. If needed, we can also recommend young and talented designers. There is also a chance to select one of our standard houses.
Materials
The timber used in log houses construction is pine (Pinus Sylvestris). We use only healthy and dry timber in order to avoid mayor changes in shape and size due to natural drying process during the following years. The average diameter of timber used for log houses is 25-30 cm in order to achieve good thermal insulation, for other buildings no limits apply.
Timber originates mainly from Estonia but also from Russia.
Technology
Timber is considered „living" material, some changes in shape and volume occur in time. The most common issue in building log houses is natural shrinking. To reduce that all timber is carefully dryed prior using, but to avoid problems, all details must be allowed to shrink 3% vertically. While planning, this must be taken into consideration. Our technological focus is making good-quality buildings that are problem-free and last long.
Production
The production (removal of the bark, wood carving and the initial assembly) takes place in the production hall. Our capacity is 1 larger or 2 smaller houses at same time indoors + 2-3 more outside on summer.
Log preparation is either done with machines or by hand depending on clients preference.
We offer variety of possibilities for log profile, for corners used etc. depending on clients vision, plan and the environment of the house to be in.
Assembly
Client usually takes care of the final assembly of the house on site, as well as making sure all preparations prior installation are made (foundation laid etc). Costs of installation are usually not included in the price offering, but can be agreed upon separately.
Warranty
Warranty of the house is 2 years. Normal maintenance resulting from shrinkage, which should be done 2 times during that period can be agreed upon separately.
